Extracting Resources from a Vassal Module

This comes up quite a lot really. Where can I find a digital copy of a map or board instead of scanning my own? The answer is closer than you think: Vassal!   1. As a software engineer, I figured this out a few years back to pull images out of a game–you can also change the images themselves and zip them back up–I’ve done it a few times.

    It is not unusual for a program to use Zip files; often you just need to rename the file extension. Thanks for the post, I’d bet a lot of people will find it useful.
