Bowling Solitaire – Counters Conversion Customization

Sid Sackson created a lot of simple, yet fun and challenging games. One of these is Bowling Solitaire which by default uses cards from a regular deck to simulate a bowling experience. The scores actually do come out pretty close to real bowling which is pretty amazing.

Years ago though, I created a counters-based variant for the game because I don’t like shuffling small decks of cards. Drawing counters from a cup or bag just works so much better. I designed these with of course a bowling lane graphic in mind with pins, balls, and a lane. These were among my designs lost in the Stalinesque BGG Purges (of late 2020, but sadly still going on).

The file contains instructions for use and I made a short demo of how to use it in June of 2016 (wow!) which you can watch as well. Just print on cardstock and then cut and fold the counters as instructed. You could also print as labels and stick to square blocks if you like. I may revise this as stickers if there is enough interest, but the foldable version works quite well in my opinion.
