What’s in a name? Before it was known as “World War I” (who knew?) that conflict was known as “The Great War” and “The War to End All Wars” — both of which proved to be false and the war’s PR team was fired immediately. From a tank.

However before that information became misinformation, while “The Great War” raged across Europe, there were troops and there were commanders. And thanks to Hexasim, you too can be a Great War Commander. This cousin to the beloved ASL-killer series Combat Commander will be familiar to many and easy to learn for newcomers (who didn’t find the WWI usurper WW2 to be their thing).

Join me as I explore the contents of the 2nd Printing of this Great Great War War Game.

While this one has no solo-AI, like the series it’s based on, it will play “true-solo” quite well out of the box.
