Have only played Voidfall once (setting up for my second), but found the game to be a bit of a table hog, so I looked for how I could make it more compact. The obvious target was the Galactic Board which has rules recaps which are great, but do take up a bit of space. So I scanned the solo/coop side of the board and in Photoshop formatted it to fit on an 8.5×11 sheet of paper. You can print that as is and trim and laminate — or I chose to print on full sheet sticker paper (better resolution) and stuck to a piece of chipboard. Then I trimmed it down and voila! The same spaces just arranged a little differently.
In addition, I had downloaded some 3D ship counters to replace the cardboard layered ships in the retail version. However, some of them took up more space than the counters and I wasn’t really happy with how they worked on board. Likewise, I had these cool layered ship counters that would going to waste. So I designed this 3D printed ‘standee’ holder of sorts which allows me to insert the ships vertically and put the power cubes on a little tray. This takes up less space on the tiles per ship and are easier to move around.
Both of these files are available for free via the following links. If you don’t have a 3D Printer, I always recommend treatstock.com for 3rd party printing — I found for me I could order about 20 of these in PLA for about $20. Your prices can and will vary based on printers near you.
